Field Trip

Last Friday London went on her third field trip of the year. Her class went to HEB Plus. A silver lining of diabetes is that her school selected a day that worked with my schedule so her substitute pancreas aka mom could come along for carb counting and insulin injecting so she wouldn't have to miss out on the goodies. We had a wonderful time learning about produce, seafood, dairy and of course it's Texas so how to make tortillas! The kids got to sample fruit, tortillas, cheese and fresh tortillas and bread. London was in heaven. The highlight of her day was touching the lobsters. London wasn't scared at all. She volunteered to touch it. Once she spoke up a few of the others joined. She also enjoyed seeing the HEB Buddy. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot and like true Texans theses girls love HEB😍

Waiting to start
Fresh baked bread aka 15 carbs
Come and get it!
Discussing healthy breakfast options
Touring the place using the buddy system
Tortillas-they were HOT!
How lobsters come to the store
My fearless one
Touching the tail
Produce
HEB Buddy
Going back for a hug

I really don't know where she gets her extroversion from? Sho Sho Rita I suppose. She's definitely a go getter☺️
