Halloween 2013-the Doc is in!

Well today was another first for Grant-his first Halloween. London is a pro now with three under her belt. Big Sissy chose the costumes this year. The winner was Doc McStuffins and her friend Chilly from Disney Junior's cartoon Doc McStuffins.

London did great again this year. She really got into it as she knew what it was all about-CANDY! She was in character too London was replaced at least for a few hours. Doc was making house calls and candy was the payment;) Grant was a trooper riding along peacefully for most of the way. Then Chilly got a little Chilly (it was like 59 guys thats cold for us austinites especially in October) then fussy and it was time to call an end to Halloween 2013. London had to have Dad carry her loot because it was too heavy so I think we did pretty well.

Cashing in my Groupon

Yes I am the groupon Queen and I had one for pics that was expiring so we headed over to the mall yesterday to cash in.

London and Grant

ONE Month. Already?

One month and growing. I love eating, my paci, the car and my swing. I don't care for diaper/clothes changes. I can hold my head up all by myself for short periods and I can track sound and objects. I sleep for 1-2.5 hour stretches at night mostly in my swing. I wonder what month two has in store for me?

Time for a Check-up, Time for a Check-up

It's hard to believe but our little bundle is already 2 weeks old?!? Actually almost 2 1/2 weeks. Seems like yesterday when the impendinging cold front and full moon prompted the little guy to make an appearance contrary to Mom's plans. Anyhow two week birthdays mean its time to go see Dr. Cheng again. Grant is doing very well. What a blessing he is. He may only be 2 weeks young but already is developing his own unique personality. He absolutely hates a dirty diaper yet hates being changed even more. He is starting to track especially mom. He is a great eater and likes his paci. He LOVES his swing but doesn't care to be swaddled. He is content most of the time (although starting to have fussy periods) but when he is unhappy he has a high pitched shrill cry. The night he was born the nurses would come and shut our door when he cried exclaiming your baby is loud;)

Big sister or "sissy" as she's named herself absolutely adores her bubba. She even refers to herself in the 3rd person lol. "Mommy watch sissy run." She loves to help get things for "her baby" and sings to him when he cries. She can be heard saying " it's okay Grant, don't cry Grant sissy's here." She is also jealous especially at night so we' ve been dealing with a lot of night awakenings and some behavior issues. Overall the transition from 3 to 4 of us is going well, though we could all use more sleep of course. We can't wait for everyone to meet our little guy!
