London recently learned to color (thanks Katie) so we decided to try out some of her birthday gifts on this warm August evening. I think we got more on us than on the sidewalk but we sure did have fun!

Unfortunately, I got more pictures of her playing with her beloved $1 beach ball (which by the way I had to reclaim from some sad little boys at the splashpad) than of the chalk-but you get the picture:)

Splashpad Fun!

For this month's playdate we decided to meet at the local splashpad to enjoy some of this summer heat and stay cool. I wasn't sure how London would do being our first trip. Well she loved it. Almost as soon as we got there she was wandering out into the pad with all the other kids-and I do mean "all" the other kids. Several buses of kids trickled in throughout the 2 hours we were there. Next week should be much calmer since school will be back in session.

My only regret is that we hadn't gone before. I kept saying when she started walking we would check it out but we've been so busy. While she wasn't too fond of the "big" fountains she loved the little trickles. She found one and parked there. I had to move her to shade after some time because I didn't want her to burn.

As usual our little socialite was not shy she said hello to everyone that would listen and yes kissed everyone willing and some not:)

Well we had such a good time we may just check it out again next week!

London's First, First Birthday Party!

Well of course you only turn one once so London celebrated with two birthday parties. Here are some pictures from her first, first birthday party at Ft. Cobb Lake in Oklahoma. She celebrated at her Grandpa Clyde's camp while we were up visiting for the family reunion. Here are some pictures of the first celebration and her first Settle family reunion taken the third weekend in July. More to follow...

Happy First Birthday!

It's hard to believe that it's been 12 months since we welcomed our little princess into our lives. What a year it has been! We had a wonderful time Saturday as we celebrated her first year with cake and ice cream here at the house. We shared the day with some of London's friends, their parents, and a few neighbors. My Mom and Michelle were able to be here too which was nice. This morning we went to see our favorite Pediatrician for her 12 month check-up. Dr. Cheng thought she was doing wonderful and said she was the perfect "eighteen" month old-lol! We are so blessed to have such a healthy and vibrant little girl. We are very thankful for that. London you have changed us so much. We love you so much and can't wait to see what you have in store for us in your second year. Happy Birthday Princess!
