London's New Wheels

Well it took us a while but we are finally dusting off the bikes. We couldn't let the princess set at home while we blaze trails so she got her own trailer. She loves her new wheels. She has plenty of leg room and two cup holders. She picked out her very own Barbie bike helmet which she wasn't too fond of wearing until she saw Mom and Dad's. She enjoyed her first ride even taking time to get in a quick nap!

Girl's Best Friend

As many of you know we inherited Blondie when Nanny passed away. Blondie is an 8 year old Yellow Lab who until recently had never left Nanny's yard. She's had a whirlwind year but is adapting well to her new life. London and Blondie are nearly inseparable. They love each other. London talks about Blondie from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to sleep and Blondie longs for London to share her snacks or just sit on the porch with her. London especially loves hugging and bossing Blondie around (she'll make a great big sister one day:).
Blondie has fit into our family perfectly. We like to think she is spending her retirement years in luxury. She has two lush beds with access to indoors and outdoors and a lot of company. Not to mention she's moved to a warmer climate:) She's such a gentle and sweet addition to our family. I know Nanny would be pleased.

Caught with their eyes closed                                                       London wanted to share her water:)

The BIG Bounce

London and I decided to check out our local bounce house today. We headed over to the Big Bounce and boy did we ever. This place is great. They even have a section for kids under four. However London being the fearless one that she is wanted to play in the "big kids" section?!? It's a good thing it was slow Tuesday because she insisted on exploring everything. There was no ramp too tall or slide too high for our adventurer.

Sorry for the picture quality but I had to use my phone since she was on the move. It was too hard to get the "real" camera out:-/

Bluebonnet Outtakes

It was a lovely Texas wildflower season this year. The heat and drought have claimed most of them now but you can click here to see the outtakes from our Easter card.  They were taken in a meadow near our house in mid March.

Easter 2012

We had a great Easter. Naynay and Tata came down to spend the week with us after we returned from the wedding trip. We enjoyed hanging out, grilling, and shopping. Uncle Naynay prepared several delicious meals but the best was his steaks. So good! London loved having her aunt and uncle here to dote over her. London was old enough this year to hunt Easter eggs one of my favorite childhood memories. She had an Easter party at school on Friday and then our church had one on Saturday. She did so well and caught on so quickly. She loved getting tattoos and the petting zoo at church. Saturday evening we dyed eggs. She loved that too. She does really well with her colors. If you ask her she will always say BLUE but if have her pick she usually gets it correct. We made it a learning game. London put the egg in the yellow dye...she loved that. Sunday morning Naynay and Tata had to go back home and we headed to church to celebrate the resurrection. After long naps we wrapped up a wonderful Easter with our first family Easter egg hunt. We accidentally left a piece of chocolate in one of the eggs leftover from church and London found it. Needless to say she loved her first chocolate:)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and we are so thankful that he got up! Click here to view our Easter album.
