It's only February but already 2009 is turning out to be a big year for the Kinoti's. Dennis began his new career and seems to really love it and I'm more than a month into my new job. The biggest news of February is that we purchased our first home. Although we don't close until late next month we are very excited. We are very grateful for our jobs and all our blessings. Unfortunately as we all know times are bleak for most sectors of the economy. Texas has been greatly unaffected by the crisis but as oil prices decline so goes Texas. Nathan was laid off about two weeks ago but fortunately he has been able to secure a new one which he will begin soon. We pray for continued prosperity and the ability to extend our hand to those in need.

Happy 2009
Well we hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We definitely did. We are now settled in Austin after a whirlwind December. My Dad treated Dennis to a Dallas Cowboys football game with field passes for his graduation. We also enjoyed having Michelle here for a few days to visit in our new place. Dennis went to North Carolina to visit his Mom's side of the family for a few days where he had a wonderful time catching up with everyone. The trip resulted in the announcement that there will be two new additions to the family this year. We are excited for Kim & Smita and can't wait to meet our new niece or nephew in July.
We also spent some time at my grandma's in Oklahoma with my Mom, Nathan, and La Tisha. We ate lunch with Tonya. Nathan and La Tisha came to spend New Year's in Austin with us. I started my new job last Monday and will be glad when I am back to a regular schedule again. We had a wonderful December and were blessed in 2008 and and are looking forward to what 2009 has in store for us!
Happy New Year!
