Christmas 2010-London's First

We had a great start to London's 1st Christmas. On Christmas Eve Dennis, London, Grandma Rita and myself headed to the church Christmas program. We hoped London would sleep since you weren't allowed to leave your seat for the entire 80 minutes and children were discouraged from attending for this reason. However London had different plans she decided she would watch. Dennis and I were concerned because the program turned out to be very "Austin" with loud music, special effects, ballerinas, and more. It was Cirque de Christmas:) But London was mesmerized by it all. She was such a good girl and sat and watched quietly. Afterwards we went out for a nice dinner and headed home to wait for Santa.

Christmas Day we awoke to all the gifts that Santa had brought. We opened them throughout the day as London's mood would allow. Turns out a first Christmas can make for a sleepy and cranky baby:) I guess she stayed up waiting for Santa. We enjoyed opening gifts with her although I think she enjoyed the paper more than the gifts. We were able to Skype with Grandpa Njeru in Kenya as well as Kim and the kids in L.A and speak to just about everyone else on the phone.

We had a very Merry Christmas. It was extra special since it was London's first. Check out the Christmas 2010 entry to see all 91 photo memories:)

London's Four Months Old!

I can hardly believe it but London is 4 months old today! She's getting to be such a big girl. She now laughs and reaches for items. Today she went to see Dr. Cheng for her 4 month check up where she got rave reviews. She is in the greater than 95th percentile for weight. Meaning only 5% of babies her age weigh more- it's a good thing she is there for length too:) Here are her latest numbers...

LONDON'S STATS

Birth- 7lbs 15oz 20 inches

3 Day old doctor visit- 7lbs 4 oz 19 3/4 inches head circumference 36 cm

2 week visit (12 days old)- 8lbs 12oz!!! 21 inches head circumference 37 cm

2 month visit (8 weeks 5 days)-12lbs 13oz 22 1/2 inches head circumference 40 cm

4 month visit (17 weeks 3 days)-16lbs 15oz 25 inches head circumference 43 cm >95%for height and weight

She's already doubled her birth weight! Such a blessing.
