Baby Shower
We've had quite the full month with lots of company and activities. The weekend of June 12th Latisha and Michelle threw a baby shower for me. We got lots of nice things and had lots of good company. It was a great weekend. Here are just a few of pics from the shower. I am 35 weeks pregnant in these pics.

Our Little Weekend Project
So when we were looking for our house we knew we wanted a big backyard and boy did we find it. We just didn't know how ugly it would be if it hadn't been well maintained. So one of our goals for year two in the house was to install a sprinkler system. So in early April we arranged to make that happen.

Now with the new sprinkler system and our yard in a mess we thought it would be great to have a nice yard with grass instead of weeds and rocks for our little one to play on. So we got lots of estimates and followed up on references and then we decided hmmm...we can do this ourselves and save lots of money. That's right the two of us or two and a half of us decided we would prepare the yard and lay 10,000 square feet worth of sod! Yes we had lost our minds but luckily Nathan, Latisha, and my mom volunteered to help. So early two Fridays ago we embarked on our little adventure with a three day timeline. To start we would till all 10,000 square feet of our yard, bull doze the small mountain in our backyard that had been driving me crazy for a year, smooth dirt, remove rocks, and then lay 20 pallets of sod that's 3,400 pieces of tiff bermuda 419. You should have seen the neighbors faces when an 18 wheeler showed up to deliver an entire truck of sod or better yet my face!

After two days and a little hired help ( us girls weren't much help:)we finished ahead of schedule and it looks great! Thanks to everyone especially Nathan!
